Paul Carlson – Education Coordinator
Originally from Prescott, Arizona, Paul Carlson has been with Teen Challenge Orlando for 15 years. A graduate in 1989 from Arizona Teen Challenge, he also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Christian Ministry from Southern Arizona Bible College.
With a heart for missions Paul has served on short terms mission trips numerous times in Mexico and Haiti.
Paul serves as Coordinator of Education at SE Region Teen Challenge and has a heart and desire to see Men set free from sin and find their true identity and calling in Christ.
Jeremy and Christina Kupsch – Executive Directors – Teen Challenge Southeast, Orlando
Jeremy and Christina are both 2009 graduates of the Teen Challenge program. After graduating, both continued on to the Emerging Leaders College where Christina received her Associates of Arts degree in Bible and Theology, and Jeremy remained on as staff. In their time with Teen Challenge, they have served as staff members in Ft. Myers facilitated the Global Internship program, were Directors in Tallahassee, FL and in 2017 transitioned to Orlando where they currently serve as Executive Directors. Jeremy and Christina have a heart for broken people. “We believe the greatest miracle one may witness, is a life changed through the power of Jesus Christ”.
Pastor Terry Stoves – Mentor and Re-entry Coordinator
In the summer of 1989 (some 30 years ago) I gave my life to Christ and was delivered from crack cocaine, marijuna, alcohol and cigarettes. God has kept me since and I’ve not returned to that life of addiction. In Sept of 2001 I enrolled at International Seminary in Plymouth, FL where I obtained a Th.G (Graduate of Theology) in July 2004. I am an Ordained Minister with Ministerial Credentials from International Congress of Churches & Ministries (ICCM). I also am Licensed and Ordained under The House of Refuge Ministry,Inc who is Incorporated under the Law of the State of Florida where I have served the past 10 years as the Associate Pastor.
Jason Smock – Campus Pastor
From Indianapolis, Indiana, Jason Smock is a 1994 Teen Challenge gradute. He is an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God. He served as a Children’s Pastor in both Georgia and Alabama before spending nearly 12 years as a missionary in Korea. He has a B.A. in Missions and a M.A. in Organizational Leadership. Jason has been in full-time ministry for 19 years now. His book, which is his personal story of redemption to a life of purpose and mission has helped many find hope and encouragement. His heart is to see people find freedom and walk out the purpose of God for their life. He enjoys fishing and spending time with his wife and 2 kids.
Born In Santiago, Dominican Republic, Luigy Paulino has been involved with Teen Challenge for two year. Since joining us, he’s served in many capacities but has excelled in the areas of evangelism, networking and public speaking, traveling all over the central Florida area speaking and sharing his testimony.He has also been serving in many different churches, orchestrated by the Teen Challenge ministries outreach program. As the Orlando Intake coordinator, Luigy was blessed with a burning heart that wishes to see every man restored in Christ Jesus, to one day venture the narrow path and rejoice in Heaven.
Mike Lasa – Detail Shop Manager/Mentor
Mike was born and raised in Miami, Fl. and has been with Teen Challenge Men’s Center in Sanford, Fl. for 4 years. Mike went to college in Miami and studied Business, which he utilized as a business owner and entrepreneur. As an Intern he was over the Fundraising Dept. then, became the Finance Manager at Sanford for almost two years before transitioning into the role of Detail Shop Manager with the responsibility to build the business from the ground up including the day-to-day operations, while also growing a Mobile Detailing and Pressure Washing Micro Enterprise. He has found his purpose in mentoring the men through the many struggles that they encounter while in the program. Mike has a deep passion for helping men get out of the cycle of addiction, and to live the life God has intended for them.
Saint Clair Sterling – Program Manager
Hi, my name is Saint Clair Sterling, program manager here at Teen Challenge Orlando, Southeast Region. I love Jesus Christ. I have the privilege of being married to Denise Simpson-Sterling for 10 years. I am the father of two amazing kids. I am a proud 2005 graduate of Teen Challenge Jamaica. In 2008 I graduated from the Assemblies of God Bible College in Jamaica. I am a credentialed minister with the Assembly of God USA. I am currently finishing my Bachelors of Arts in Bible and Theology with Global University. I love to spend time with my family. My hobbies are: reading, listening to gospel music, sermons and jogging.
Anthony Alverez – Training facilitator
Originally from Chicago Illinois, Mr. Anthony Alvarez has served in Leadership with Teen Challenge close to 6 years from centers in New York to Florida. He also attended 2 Christian Institutions; Elim Bible Institute in Upstate New York and also Christ for the Nations in Dallas, Texas. He is currently in pursuit to become a licensed ordained minister through the Assembly of God denomination. Anthony first heard the call to ministry while a student in the Teen Challenge Program. Anthony’s dedication can be clearly seen in the areas of ministry he has committed over the years. His ministry experience includes; Homeless ministry, street evangelism, Jail/ prison ministry, counseling, preaching, Christian education through Teen Challenge, fundraising, mentoring, and youth director. He is currently serving as a mentor at Sanford Teen Challenge and helps supervise spiritual enrichment activities. Anthony’s desire is see that every person that walks through the doors of Teen Challenge will have an encounter with God and be set free from their addictions through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Recovery and future abstinence from addicting substances and the effects that such substances may have on the individual or their life, actions, or their future are entirely dependent on the individual and how well they apply the principles we have taught them. We are an educational institution, and how the individual in our program learns from what they are taught and modeled here, is totally up to them. Individuals who stay the full term (until graduation) have much better long-term recovery from addicitons than those who do not.
